My Process
I started the design process by sourcing reference images depicting various types of towers, aiming to give each set of towers distinctive characteristics to help convey the shape language of Archers, Bombers, and Mages.
Next, I began modeling the initial iterations of the towers. From these base designs, I iteratively refined each tower, incorporating progressive changes to visually articulate the upgrades they would undergo.
Following the modeling phase, I organized the UV mapping for each tower model before transitioning to Substance 3D Painter for texturing. Here, I wanted to establish distinct visual identities for each set of towers while ensuring cohesion within each group to effectively communicate the upgrade progression.
Upon completing the texturing process, I seamlessly integrated each tower model into Unity, where their respective materials were applied. This ensured that the models were prepared for seamless implementation within the game's design framework.
